Cheesy Mac and Cheese. Family Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) cans evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 lb colby cheese shredded
  • 1/2 lb monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 1/2 lb sharp cheddar shredded
  • 1 lb Velveeta cheese cubed
  • salt
  • 1 Tbsp white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup shredded American or mild cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Add pasta to 9×13 baking dish and set aside
  3. In a mixing bowl, Mix milk, evap milk, and eggs well
  4. Add butter, colby, monterey jack, sharp cheddar and velveeta cheeses to the pasta
  5. Pour milk and egg mixture over the pasta. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and the toss
  6. Sprinkle the top with the mild cheddar or American cheese.
  7. Bake for 30 – 45 minutes (until the top is lightly browned)
